Rights of data subjects

If your personal data are processed, you become a “data subject” according to GDPR terminology.

As a data subject, you have rights in relation to the person processing your data (“controller”).

Thanks to these rights, you can take actions against false or incomplete data sets or request the erasure of data.

The rights are the following

  • Right to obtain information
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’)
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object
  • Information to be provided by the controllers where personal data are collected from the data subject
  • Information to be provided by the controllers where personal data have not been obtained from the data subject
